Modify and compress your digital photos.

I just got back from visiting http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ and they have an Image Compressor program.    I’ve had just a small amount of time to  work with it but as far as I can tell it’s pretty slick.   Image size is ALWAYS important on a website.

I took a JPEG image that was 72 dpi 1024×768 at 331KB it was HUGE after running it through the compressor I got 166KB or about half the size.  It may still sound big but if you have a web page with 100KB of images.  Getting them down to 50KB is a BIG deal.   It can read a variety of image BUT it can only write JPEG.  While that can be disappointing the quality of the compressed images makes it worthwhile.  It also allows for batch compression watermarking, resizing and adjustments.  Additional features include PDF, web album creation and a bunch more little tidbits.

Since  I did find it on http://www.giveawayoftheday.com it’s free (instead of the $99) but for a limited time.  So  check it out!
