Football helmet straps have broken a reported 18 times. When the strap breaks it causes the helmet to shift or fall off and basicaly removing the ability to protect the wearer. This has resulted in some injuries ranging from concussions to deep cuts to a broken nose. Read More Below...
The strap in question is made in china and has the words DRI-FIT™ printed on the chin cups foam liner. The numbers FA0016 046, FA0016 130, FA0021 046, or FA0021 130 appear the inside of the strap.
